Different techniques I could use

Some techniques that I could use when taking my final photos are cropping and scaling, using layers, green screen and text and image.

In the cropping and scaling technique I would take the sides, top or bottom of a photo to make the parts of the image fit better or to take out things from a photo.
By using layers I would be layering different parts or alterations to an image over the top of the original background photo in Photoshop. These alterations could include brightness and contrast changes, colour balance and vibrance changes.
By using a green screen I would be removing the background of an image so that I could put a person or object in a different background.
If I were to use the text and image technique I would be combining the elements of text with a photo by fitting it in with the surroundings or layering it on top for effect.

UTC Photoshoot - Evaluation

In my shoot I took portrait photos of a model wearing smart clothes, posing in front of a window. I instructed the model to sit down on a chair and look relaxed, so that I could fill up the frame with his body. I have permission from the model to use his image in my work. The timings went to plan as I was only shooting for 10 minutes and I took all the photos that I wanted to take. I used different camera angles (high and low) to vary the shooting perspectives. I used a Nikon 60D to take the photos. The props used were the clothes that the model was wearing. They were effective in telling the models style and dress sense. I was able to control the shutter speed, iso and aperture. I used a high shutter speed so the pictures would bd in focus and sharp, I used a higher aperture so that less light entered the camera as it was a very bright room and I used a medium iso so that there was no noise on the picture. I used the natural light shining through the windows to light up the model and I controlled this by using the aperture settings on my camera. I also used the flash to light up the front of the model to make the photo clearer. I didn't use any camera based filters to create my images but I plan to add some photoshop features to make them look smarter and more aesthetically pleasing. The photographic technique that I used was framing. I made the model sit down in the chair so I could capture him in the centre of the frame. I didn't have to use any of my contingency plans as all of the shoot went to plan. The plan for editing my best photos is to change the colours on them so they look vibrant and different. I am going to posterise one of the photos to make different parts look multi-coloured and stylish. The lighting went well and was as how I imagined it would be so that helped my photoshoot become more successful.  To improve the photos, if the model had worn brighter clothing, this would have helped the photos look more colourful and stylish. My future target is to create a contact print of my photoshoot.
